It is not necessary to attend Levels I and II prior to Level III Full Certification. The Level I and II courses are provided as an option to make it more convenient to progress in the industry comfortably at your own pace.

Requires successful completion of a 25 question written teaching test to earn the Affiliate status. The material on this test is covered with you in detail during the two days.
A Level I Certified Member is one who has successfully completed the two-day introductory course, either by attending in person or by completing the USGTF Level I Online Home Study Course. The course is held on the first two days of every certification course. (Monday & Tuesday).
Multiple choice questions. The examining staff are available to help and advise you with regard to any of the questions on the test. Test also available in the Korean language.
The United States Golf Teachers Federation offers two options to obtain Level I membership status. You may attend the 2-day introductory course in person, which is recommended due to the fact that teaching golf is a people/personality industry or you may elect to achieve the Level I status online through our Home Study Course.
