NORMAN ADAMSON
USGTF Level III Member, Ft. Washington, Maryland

I am Norman Adamson, a Vietnam veteran and retired Washington, DC Metropolitan Police Department officer. I have been an avid golfer for over 40 years and a teaching professional for over 25 years. I am proud to be a certified USGTF teaching professional, and I am currently a golf instructor at Howard University and also conduct golf lessons around the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington metropolitan area.

The game of golf came relatively easy to me, due in part to some of the fundamental strokes in golf mimicking certain strokes in the game of tennis. I was an accomplished tennis player in my youth.

Since I became an instructor, I have conducted lessons ranging from beginners to highly advanced golfers. My love for the game of golf and seeing people get the most of their abilities have been the hallmark of my teaching career. My teaching philosophy is one that says with proper instruction, dedication to improving, and patience, anyone with average coordination can become a good golfer and enjoy the game year after year.
