Golf at the professional level continues to become more international, and perhaps no one exemplifies this as well at Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat. Avid watchers of Golf Channel know that he’s a member of the European and Asian Tours, and has made a number of starts on the PGA Tour in America. As a result of his fine play here, he’s now being featured on network television, and later this month he makes his Masters debut, where he could well garner even more air time. Aphibarnrat turned professional in 2008 at the age of 18 and played on both the Japan and Asian Tours. His first professional win came in the Singha Pattaya Open on the minor league Mercedez-Benz Tour, and his first win on the Asian Tour came two years later when he captured the SAIL Open. Continuing his rise through the ranks, he qualified for the European Tour and to date has three victories on that circuit. At just 26 years old, he has consistently improved each year, becoming a fixture in the top 50 of the Official World Ranking. His eventual goal is to play in the United States full time, and considering the progression he’s made in his career, it would be foolish to bet against him.
