Description | Under the supervision of the Director of Golf, this position is responsible for all operations and management of the golf course facility including but not limited to the pro shop, bar and restaurant, grounds, and facility events. Essential Duties: Hires, trains, schedules, supervises and evaluates personnel; provides or coordinates staff training; works with employees to correct deficiencies. |
Qualifications | Education and/or Experience: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor degree in Golf Management or related field is preferred. Member in good standing of PGA or LPGA of America. Knowledge of all aspects of a golf course operations, emergency first-aid procedures and basic principles of customer service. To successfully perform the required job duties, this position regularly uses a phone, computer, cash register, credit-card machine, calculator, printer, fax and other common office and golf equipment. This position also uses and operates custodial cleaning supplies and equipment. This position may need to drive a personal vehicle to various District facilities. Working Environment: This position is required to work indoors and outdoors which is subject to variable weather conditions, ecosystems and landscapes. The indoor environment includes a busy Pro Shop environment subject to continuous interruptions and background noises. Physical Requirements: The following physical abilities are needed to perform the essential duties of this position: carry, pull, push or lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, reaching, and feeling; may occasionally climb, crawl, squat, kneel and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted; constant seeing with near and far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, and field of vision; ability to frequently establish and maintain verbal communication over a vehicle radio, a telephone, and in-person communications; ability to hear vehicle and equipment horns, signals, and engine operation to determine proper operation.
