Jim Perez from Fresno, California, and his partner Bob Jaffe from Short Hills, New Jersey, won the inaugural National Two-Person Best Ball Championship at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada, just outside Las Vegas. Perez and Jaffe fired a 66 in the one-round event to tie Matt Smith from Pataskula, Ohio, and Curtis Joseph, Las Vegas. Perez and Jaffe prevailed in a 3-hole playoff to earn the championship.
The championship raised $1,500 for the tournament’s designated charity, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. For more information on St. Jude, please visit www.StJude.org.
