I came from South Korea in February 2012. I work at the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York. My mission term is for three years, so I will go back to Korea when my term is up.
After my arrival in the USA, I enjoyed playing golf every weekend. And, I had a goal of becoming a golf teaching professional. I prepared and practiced diligently for the course and the PAT test. Several obstacles presented themselves, but I was able to overcome them and was able to attend the course.
The first day, I was very nervous, because this was my first time being in an English-speaking class, and there were no other Koreans or Asians in the class. But, it wasn’t long before I felt comfortable, and Bob Wyatt made me feel welcome. His teaching was wonderful and I learned so many theories about teaching. It turned out to be one of the greatest experiences in my entire life.
Thank you to the USGTF and Bob. I will remember this experience my whole life. After I return to Korea, I will do my best to represent the organization there.
