WGTF TO SPONSOR 10TH WORLD HICKORY OPEN

The World Golf Teachers Federation will once again be a sponsor for the 2015 World Hickory Open. Hickory golfers all over the world are currently preparing for the 10th anniversary of the tournament, which will take place at Carnoustie Country’s famous Open venue, Carnoustie Championship, from 19-23 October. “As part of our 10th anniversary celebrations, the World Hickory Open 2015 is to be played at Carnoustie Championship course, seven times host of The Open, host of the 2016 Senior Open and the 2018 Open, and the highly-regarded links course Carnoustie Budden,” said Lionel Freedman, director and co-founder of The World Hickory Open. “I must also thank Geoff Bryant and the World Golf Teachers Federation for their continued support of hickory golf and the history of our game.” The World Hickory Open 2015 will also feature a two-day international hickory golf match between teams from the USA, Sweden and the World Hickory Select.
